Blakely from the rear.
§The column moved northward to appear to be
marching to Montgomery AL.
§At the railroad track at
Pollard, AL [click],
fifty miles north of Pensacola, the column turned west towards
the Tensaw River and then moved south to invest
§A Union cavalry
brigade from the Pensacola column overran an outpost of Confederate
infantry at Blakely on the afternoon of April 1st.
